Paola is an experienced osteopath whose approach to better musculoskeletal health blends elements of osteopathy, medical acupuncture, yoga, complex homeopathy, psychosomatic bodywork and nutrition.
Paola grew up in Milan and moved to London in 1994 to study for an LLB in Law and MSc in Economics. After working in Brussels for the European Commission Humanitarian Office, focusing on health programs, where she started to develop her fascination with health both at global and individual level, she decided to take some time off to deepen her practice of yoga and health studies. Paola has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and qualified as an International Yoga alliance certified yoga teacher in 2002, after completing a one year full time yoga teacher training with Yogaarts in Byron Bay, Australia. During the years that followed while continuing with her yoga practice and yoga teaching she qualified as an osteopath with a BSc ( Ost) from the British School of Osteopathy in London.
She completed various postgraduate training , including cranial osteopathy, functional rehabilitation, nutrition, visceral osteopathy as well as well attending Yoga retreats with Clive Sheridan, which has been the teacher who has most inspired her during her yoga journey. She is also trained in western medical acupuncture and has deepened her understating of the complex connection between anatomy , physiology , mind, and emotions by qualifying as a Bioregulatory Medicine ( functional medicine ) Practitioner under the training of highly qualified medical doctors at Biomedic in London . Paola also holds a Master in Population health and global Epidemiology from the London School of Economics and has been working on a consultant basis as a health researcher for wellbeing companies , focusing on the benefits of yoga, meditation , nutrition and exercise as strategies to improve population health.
Since 2013 she has been teaching the Anatomy module for Aditya Yoga teacher Training and has joined the Yogacampus faculty as Anatomy and Physiology teacher in 2019.
