About Jane:

For almost 30 years, Jane Simpson had her own private practice at The London Clinic in Harley Street where she treated women and men of all ages with incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction. She has a special interest in stress incontinence, overactive bladder and urge incontinence, vaginal prolapse, pregnancy and childbirth, the menopause, constipation and bowel dysfunction and sex and the pelvic floor. She has written a book called The Pelvic Floor Bible, published by Penguin Life.

After training as a nurse at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, Jane went on to become a district nursing sister. She then became a Continence Nurse Specialist in the NHS, and began lecturing and training other healthcare professionals in the promotion of continence and the management of incontinence.

She is a member of The Pelvic Floor Society, The Association for Continence Advice, The International Continence Society, The British Association of Urological Nurses and The Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland.

She is regularly asked to comment in the media having featured in the Times, Radio 4’s Women’s Hour and Channel 5 News and many popular magazines.

In her downtime, Jane is a passionate cook and a keen gardener. She is involved in raising money for both prostate and bowel cancer and has run the London Marathon and walked Hadrian’s Wall. You can find her at http://www.thepelvicfloorbible.com and on Instagram @jane_thepelvicfloorbible

About Petra:

Petra developed Menopause Yoga as a result of going through an early menopause herself after realising there was no single source of medical advice or group support including yoga classes for menopausal women. She is a qualified Yoga Teacher with a 200+ hour British Wheel of Yoga diploma who holds an additional 200+ Yoga Alliance training qualification in Inner Axis for people experiencing stress and anxiety. She also holds a 50 hour diploma in Restorative Yoga trained by Anna Ashby and an extra 50 hours for Tapasaya Hot Yoga, trained by Kirsten Stewart.

Petra was the first yoga teacher to be accepted into the British Menopause Society for medical and health practitioners, and runs workshops with Dr Louise Newson – a leading educator and campaigner for menopause women’s rights. She was the first person to launch the UK’s first professional accredited course to train other teachers to support women going through menopause. She also runs workshops in Menopause Yoga and workshops for people on managing stress, anxiety, insomnia.
